Sustainable Production

Reducing our industrial impact to a minimum

Sarchio has taken a proactive approach over the years to reduce its human and industrial impact by implementing green economy policies. We are constantly on the lookout for solutions with the potential to optimise our consumption and help us preserve and maintain the natural environment around us.
Sarchio’s new 6000 sqm headquarters was built after the 2012 earthquake and inaugurated in 2017, and was designed to be sustainable in terms of its energy needs.
Our photovoltaic power plant produces 120,000 kwh/year so we are able to cover part of our energy needs, and we are still making efforts to reduce the amount of power we use.
Production waste is recovered and recycled as much as possible and we consider landfill as a last resort. Products approaching their "sell by" date are donated to local charities.
The lighting in our offices, production facilities, and warehouses is managed by a system saving a considerable amount of power. The lights are only switched on when there is insufficient natural light coming in from outside.
Our air conditioning system is managed remotely and each individual indoor unit can be programmed to switch on or off in order to avoid wasting power.
Let's plant a tree
Deforestation is one of the main causes of climate change but printers are still used extensively, day after day, in offices around the world. To safeguard our environment and protect our trees, Sarchio works with Print Releaf, measuring the amount of paper we use, calculating our impact on forests, and planting new trees in protected areas in order to support reforestation in fragile areas.

Our commitment for a better world

We have always been firm believers that there is a link between our lifestyle choices, the food we eat, how we produce it, our health, and the health of the environment. This is why all our actions have always been founded on a green philosophy, to protect our planet in the interest of future generations.
